It is important to understand that tuning a gun does not necessarily increase the power or ft/s (and usually doesn't) unless there are issues such as a broken or fatigued spring, a damaged seal, a rough chamber wall or a combination of those conditions and others.
The logic in a tune is to improve the efficiency of the gun, to make it smoother, improve accuracy, improve consistency, reduce spring vibration, twang and recoil to make it a more pleasurable shooting gun.
Proper lubing is of the utmost importance. How it is lubed, at what points it is lubed, and what lube is used on those points make a tremendous difference how your gun behaves, its accuracy, it’s consistency, longevity, as well as seal and spring life.
It’s important to know that there are several lubes used in airguns for different purposes in different locations and they all play different roles. In addition to that, almost every airgun have sharp edges from manufacturing, improper lubrication or damaged piston seals.
But please keep in mind, no two guns are the same coming off the line, or tuned by the same tuner, have the same power and consistency. Secondly, power should not be the primary concern, although important. If it's tuned and comes out extra strong, that’s fine as long as it fires smooth and is consistent.

The Maintenance Tune will provide a smooth cocking action for your airgun and restore the power to where it should be. Your gun will be completely disassembled and inspected. This process will identify broken, missing and worn parts that will reduce the life and accuracy of your airgun. De-burring and polishing will remove wear marks from sliding parts as well as reduce further deterioration of the action. Your gun will then be completely cleaned of all the old lubricants and dirt. Proper lubrication will ensure long life and reliable service of your airgun for years to come. New seals will be installed to ensure proper sealing of the compression chamber to allow for the efficient transfer of power.

The Performance Tune includes all of the components of the Maintenance Tune. In addition, this tune will make the shot cycle of your airgun much smoother by installing an aftermarket kit to ensure maximum consistancy and accuracy. The crown of the barrel will also be inspected and repaired if necessary. Better accuracy and shooting comfort are achieved with this option.
